We have four swim squad locations for you to choose from. A registration prior to your first session is essential and can be done here. Are you unsure which squad is right for you? Just come to one of our squads and our coach would be more than happy to help you out and direct you to the right squad.

BEGINNER

RECOMMENDED SQUAD: Evening sessions
LENGTH: 1 hour session
DISTANCE: 2.3 - 2.8km
PACE: 2min/100m
FOCUS: 30 min technique & 30 min fitness
RECOMMENDED NO. OF SESSIONS: 2/week

INTERMEDIATE

RECOMMENDED SQUAD: Any
LENGTH: 1.5 hour session
DISTANCE: 4 - 5km
PACE: 1:15min/100m - 1:45min/100m
FOCUS: 30 min warm up & 1 hour fitness
RECOMMENDED NO. OF SESSIONS: 2-3/week

ADVANCED

RECOMMENDED SQUAD: Morning | Lunch
LENGTH: 1.5 hour session
DISTANCE: 4 - 5km
PACE: 1:15min/100m - 1:45min/100m
FOCUS: 30 min warm up & 1 hour fitness
RECOMMENDED NO. OF SESSIONS: 2-3/week

MORNING SWIM SQUAD

Morning squad is a challenging 1.5 hour swim squad and is suitable for swimmers who are able to cover a distance of 3.5km or more, working at various intensities. Vladswim swim squad offers a variation in intensity including aerobic, anaerobic and VO2 max sessions. This ensures pacing skills and swimming speed is developed.

WINTER at Victoria Park pool  (1 May - 31 Aug)

LUNCH SWIM SQUAD

This squad is suitable for swimmers who are able to cover a distance of 2.5km - 3.0km competently. Squad has two lanes, one for slower and one for faster swimmers. Session is adjusted for each lane depending on the swimmers abilities.

EVENING SWIM SQUAD

This is a squad suitable for swimmers who are able to cover a distance of 1.0km - 2.8km . This squad caters for all levels, from beginner to advance. Beginner group focuses on developing your swimming skills through learning different drills, working on your kick & breathing and knowing the correct lane etiquette while swimming. It is also when Vladswim begins to introduce the other strokes and the skills required to develop these further. Intermediate and advance swimmers focuses more on fitness and speed work.

Personal stroke correction instructions and guidelines are given during each session by the coach to improve your technique.
