SATURDAY OCEAN SWIM
The Saturday Ocean Swim is an integral part of the Vladswim membership and takes place consistently every Saturday morning. During the summer season, two swim sessions are offered: 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM.

PRIMARY LOCATION
Coogee Beach is the main meeting point for ocean swims.
CHANGING LOCATIONS
Swim locations may change depending on conditions, weather forecasts, or specific event preparations.
OTHER POSSIBLE LOCATIONS
Bondi, Malabar, La Perouse, Brighton Le Sands, Balmoral, Shelly Beach, and more. Is confirmed by email.
SWIM DISTANCE
1.5-hour session: 3 km to 5 km.
1-hour session: 2 km to 3 km.
LONG DISTANCE SWIMS
Vladswim members can join long-distance swims ranging from 5 km to 15 km.
CONFIRMATION OR CANCELLATIONS
Swim locations and any cancellations due to unsafe conditions are confirmed via email on Friday. Ensure you’re subscribed to the Saturday Ocean Swim newsletter for updates.
SWIM TIMES
Group 1: Starts at 7:00 AM.
Group 2: Starts at 9:00 AM.
SAFETY
A support paddler (coach) will be present during the session to ensure swimmer safety.
GROUP STROKE CORRECTION
Join our stroke correction sessions designed to enhance your ocean swimming experience. This program is ideal for ocean swimmers who have not previously had stroke correction sessions and wish to improve their technique while enjoying the water. Beginners in ocean swimming will especially benefit from these sessions.
Key Information:
• Sessions are tailored for groups of 5 to 6 swimmers.
• Bring your swim group to improve your skills and water confidence.
PRIMARY LOCATION
Safe and serene swim locations at Malabar, La Perouse, or Coogee.
SESSIONS
Three Ocean Swim sessions over three weeks:
1. First Session: Lecture and introduction in the water.
2. Second Session: Hands-on learning of new skills in the water.
3. Third Session: Swim with the coach for real-time correction during your swim.
SESSIONS INCLUDE
• Relaxation techniques for safety and enjoyment in ocean swimming.
• Body positioning and rotation.
• Stroke techniques and adjustments during swimming.
• Breathing and kicking techniques.
• Swim distances ranging from 500m to 2km.

• Gather 5 swimmers from your group to sign up for stroke correction sessions, and we will arrange a suitable time and day for you.
• Alternatively, sign up for stroke correction starting in September to prepare for the Summer season 2025/26.
